Although the car has numerous power upgrades that increase engine performance; I have never been concerned about squeezing the last bit of power from the engine. I'd much rather have more torque than horsepower for the kind of driving I do. The chip/boost controller is simple and does the job of adjusting boost between stock and about 16 lbs. based on notoriously unreliable gauge readings I keep it right at about 14 lbs and have all the power I need. I got this setup when I first began to mod, and boost controllers seems very complicated to install and this seemed like the easy way out. To do it all over again, I would probably just get a good boost controller as it most everyone else has done.
